Neuromedicine: A New Service Line

This talk presents a hospital-based model in which an internal medicine hospitalist partners with neurology and neurosurgery to manage the medical needs of neuroscience inpatients. Attendees will learn how the model is structured, what published evidence supports neurosurgical and neurologic co-management, and the lessons and outcomes from a 2.5-year institutional project. The session closes with practical steps for building a similar program, including how to make the case to hospital leadership.
